Illustrations for Blank Street’s Spring / Summer 2022 Campaign

In 2022, I had the exciting opportunity to create illustrations inspired by growth, rebirth, and energy for Blank Street’s Spring/Summer 2022 campaign. These illustrations aimed to embody the essence of the season and infuse the brand with a sense of vitality and freshness, aligning perfectly with the launch of their new seasonal drinks and food.

Design for Tarot Cards, A-Frames, Menu and App Spot Illustrations, and Splash Imagery

Blank Street is a vibrant brand that revolutionizes the coffee shop experience by offering a clean, natural, and high-quality menu at affordable prices. With locations in New York and London, they bring beloved products to their customers' doorsteps through their mobile app and retail spaces, including street carts, micro kiosks, and pickup windows.

The illustrations became an integral part of Blank Street's brand presence, gracing their app and menu as spot illustrations that created a seamless digital and retail experience. Additionally, they adorned A-frames and shop fronts across New York, becoming eye-catching elements that added vibrancy to their physical locations.

To enhance the customer experience further, I designed unique coffee-related tarot cards. These special additions accompanied online orders, surprising customers with a creative touch that harmonized with the campaign's themes of growth and rebirth. The tarot cards not only personalized the brand's products but also allowed customers to engage with the campaign's energy and spirit, carrying the illustrations with them.

The illustrations were meticulously crafted to evoke energy and vibrancy, capturing the essence of spring and reflecting Blank Street's unique aesthetic with soft colours and sunrise-inspired designs. Incorporating elements symbolizing growth and mornings, such as blossoming leaves, flowing lines, and dynamic shapes, the illustrations resonated with Blank Street's target audience, inspiring them and forging a strong visual connection to the brand.

Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with the Blank Street team, including their lead graphic designers. Together, we ensured that the illustrations aligned seamlessly with the brand's vision and campaign objectives. Through feedback sessions, iterative revisions, and a collaborative approach, we brought the illustrations to life. Witnessing the designs being embraced and shared on platforms like TikTok and Instagram was an incredibly rewarding experience.

The illustrations played a significant role in Blank Street's Spring/Summer 2022 campaign, injecting a visually captivating and thematic element into their brand presence. They contributed to a cohesive and immersive customer experience across digital and physical touchpoints, effectively engaging customers and reinforcing the brand's identity as a trendsetting and dynamic brand.
