Illustrations for Product
Therapy Notebooks is a company specializing in therapeutic and self-help notebooks, aimed at supporting individuals in their personal growth and mental well-being journey. High Tide, a creative agency focused on brand strategy and visual identity, invited me to collaborate on Therapy Notebooks' rebranding and product line refresh.
The collaboration involved creating abstract illustrations for the front covers and inside pages of Therapy Notebooks' books. The goal was to enhance the visual appeal of the products, making them more approachable while maintaining a trustworthy and knowledgeable image as professionally created and psychologist-backed mental health tools. To achieve this, I utilized hand-drawn inked lines inspired by graphs and patterns, reflecting the company's new visual identity.
My role was to create unique and visually engaging abstract illustrations that captured the essence of the books' purposes, addressing topics such as sleep, depression, anxiety, and trauma. These illustrations aimed to effectively communicate both the subject matter and how the book supports the consumer in relation to the topic.
Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with the teams at Therapy Notebooks and High Tide. This involved participating in group sessions via Zoom to understand their vision and requirements, incorporating feedback through multiple rounds of revisions, and ensuring that the illustrations aligned with the new brand identity and product goals.
The illustrations played a crucial role in Therapy Notebooks' rebranding and product relaunch by adding a visually captivating element to the notebooks, enhancing their overall aesthetic appeal, and reflecting the brand's new direction. The collaboration provided an opportunity for me to explore how to communicate complex and sensitive subjects using simple shapes and lines. I am passionate about contributing my creativity to meaningful projects, and this collaboration allowed me to expand my portfolio with work that supports mental well-being and personal growth - two areas I deeply care about.
